Traditional Irish Dancer

The Abbey Tavern hosts the original "Traditional Irish Evening" which features the world famous Abbey Tavern singers and musicians with a lively performance of music, song and the very best of Irish dancing.

Our evening has been running in Howth since the early 1960's and we have had the pleasure of welcoming thousands of guests from around the globe to our authentic Irish entertainment night.

We are the very proud winners of many tourism awards including the Dublin Tourism food and drink award. We are also recommended by the Georgina Campbell good food guide as one of the best places to visit while in Dublin.

Before the entertainment, we serve a typical 4 course Irish dinner including Irish coffee. Seating for dinner is at 7.30pm, while the show starts at 8.30pm and ends at 10.15pm.

On certain nights there is the option of an entertainment only package that includes two drinks without dinner.

YouTube Videos from The Abbey Tavern

We have had many satisfied visitors to the Abbey Tavern and we are delighted that so many have taken the trouble to post some of their video to YouTube.

This is another 1966 recording: "We're Off To Dublin In The Green", from the album of the same name. This song was originally featured in a TV commercial for Carling beer.
