The Drays - Perform at Howth Roots & Blues Festival 2019

The Drays are an Irish Alt Country/Alt Rock band featuring songwriter Stephen Ryan (The Stars of Heaven/The Revenants). Their debut album 'Look Away Down Collins Avenue' was released in June 2015 to wide critical acclaim achieving album of the week in both the Irish Times and Irish Independent newspapers as well as RTE Radio 1 album of the week. It entered the IRMA Indie Charts at number 1 and the IRMA National Charts at number 22.

The Drays sees Ryan’s rekindle his musical relationship with guitarist Conor Brady (The Blades, Toots & The Maytals, The Revenants) who also produced the album. Also in the Drays is Eileen Gogan, another former Revenant, whose vocals add contrast to those of Ryan. And a third voice in the mix is In Tua Nua drummer and vocalist Paul Byrne who released his highly acclaimed country soul album ‘Cruel & Tender Ways’ a few years back.

Following their 2015 album, The Drays released a single ‘EASY’ in August 2016 and the band have been working on a new album for the past year which is due for release in early 2020.
